About the Artist: Georgia O'Keeffe (1887–1986)
Georgia O'Keeffe is widely regarded as one of the most influential American artists of the 20th century, known for her pioneering work in modernism. Her iconic paintings often explore themes of nature, including her famous large-scale depictions of flowers, which transform everyday subjects into bold, abstract forms. O'Keeffe’s work is celebrated for its vibrant color, precision, and unique perspective, blending realism with abstraction.

She found inspiration in the natural landscapes of New Mexico, where she lived for much of her life, capturing the beauty of desertscapes, sun-bleached bones, and wide open skies. O'Keeffe’s art reflects her deep connection to the environment, as well as her dedication to expressing the essence of her subjects with simplicity and clarity. Her work continues to captivate audiences, symbolizing strength, independence, and the enduring power of nature.
